Breakfast at Strathallan B&B

When you stay at Strathallan Guest House you can expect freshly prepared breakfasts that use the best ingredients. We endeavour to source our meat, fruits, yogurts and much more from Scottish producers.  A lot of what you will find on your plate is from the Cairngorms National Park and surrounding area.

Sample award winning haggis, black pudding and sausages from our local butcher Grants of Speyside.   Our eggs are collected each morning from our own Scottish Black Rock hens, who roam free in our garden.

Sip freshly ground coffee supplied by Cairngorm Leaf and Bean, who roast their coffee just a few miles from us.  At breakfast you can sample an array of teas from Scottish Producer The Wee Tea Co.

Even our yoghurts, milk and butter come from Scottish coos!  We find that Graham’s Dairy offer some of the best dairy produce you can get.

Our breakfast menu is extensive and we pride ourselves on our porridge options too, where you can taste a classic creamy bowl of oats or go for something a bit different and order our speciality porridges. Our ‘black forest’ porridge with chocolate dipped fresh cherries is a real winner. We also only use Hamlyns pinhead oatmeal to bring you an authentic and tasty porridge.

At Strathallan Guest House we like to offer a full range of food options to guests with special dietary requirements too. If your vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or anything in between, just let us know before your arrival and we’ll cater to your needs.

To top it all off your host, Isla, has a rather wonderful (and secret) family recipe for shortbread.  This has been in her family since 1908 and every guest bedroom has a freshly baked jar of them to try.
